We have been seeing a lot of rumors around the upcoming Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus. Even the Meizu CEO recently teased some of the key features of these upcoming smartphones. According to MySmartPrice, the launch of the Meizu flagship devices is set to take place on August 8, which is a day before the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9.
The report contains a screenshot that shows that the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus marked by model numbers M882Q and M892Q, which are ready to be marketed in China. Besides the model numbers the screenshot does not give away much.
An alleged photo of the back panel of the Meizu 16 Plus has appeared on Chinese social media website Weibo. The assumption that it is the Meizu 16 Plus is made because the CEO had mentioned that the bigger ‘Plus’ variant will sport an under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone on the image does not have a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.

The back panel shows a dual-camera setup in a vertical format that is placed centrally. The LED flash has a metallic highlight around it, and is placed under the dual-cameras. The white panel seems covered by glass and the edges are made of metal that can be assumed to be aluminum.
