Meizu 16, the next flagship smartphone from the Chinese company, will be launched on August 26. While there is more than a month for the official launch, a Weibo user has posted images of the Plus-sized variant that detail what to expect from the smartphone.
The upcoming Meizu 16 will practically have no bezels on the size and thin bezels on the top and botton size of the display. The glass panel showcased on the leaked image is said to be coming from a component factory in China and it has been compared to an actual Oppo Find X to illustrate the size of the device. The Oppo Find X with its mechanical sliding camera setup measures 156.7 mm tall and 74.2mm wide and looking at the image, the Meizu 16 seems to be not taller than 160mm and no wider than 76mm in dimensions.
The dimensions indicate that the Meizu 16 Plus could feature a 6.5-inch display and the leakster claims it will use an OLED panel. There seems to be a hole drilled on the top bezel which could be meant for the selfie camera. The photo of the opposite side of the glass reveals that there will be a proximity sensor and LED notification light.
The leaks so far indicate that Meizu 16 will have at least one variant that will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor similar to Vivo X21 and Vivo NEX. The standard models are said to sport a pressure-sensitive mBack button. These flagship models are expected to pack a Snapdragon 845 SoC and include vapor chamber for cooling.

Meizu, once regarded as the leader in the smartphone segment, has lost out to other brands in its home market of China and globally. However, it seems to be making a comeback with new set of devices that target the mainstream devices in the market from brands including Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi. The leaked image shows that Meizu 16 will not challenge Oppo Find X or Vivo NEX but could be the smartphone with high screen-to-body ratio.
