The Meizu M6s is expected to launch today. However, other than the smartphone’s launch date, the company hasn’t revealed much. Thanks to leaks, we now know quite a few things about the upcoming device.
The latest in the long list of leaks are some images and specification shared on Weibo of the purported device that have been revealed ahead of the launch. From what we have learnt so far, and that is reaffirmed in the new leak, the smartphone will feature an 18:9 screen. The smartphone is believed to come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels.
In terms of design, the new leak reveals a pamphlet, which claims to show off the Meizu M6s, that has the purported device seen from three different angles. The front of the display is sans any physical button, and it’s because the second image shows the fingerprint scanner placed on the side. At the back we see a single camera setup. The leaked image shows the device in a blue metal unibody.
Powering the device will apparently be a 14nm Exynos 7872 chipset. We have also learn from the past leaks that the Exynos chipset will have hexa-core processors, with two of them being Cortex-A73, clocked at 2.0 GHz for performance, and four more Cortex-A53 at 1.6 GHz for power efficiency. Accompanying the chipset is a Mali-G71 MP3 graphics processor. The RAM will be 3GB, coupled with either 32GB or 64GB storage.
The recent leak also claims that the device will run Flyme OS, based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It will be fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery.
In terms of camera, the Meizu M6s is expected to come with a 16-megapixel camera at the rear, accompanied by an LED flash, and an 8-megapixel on the front.
Despite the detailed leaks, we still recommend that you wait just a few more hours, and hear the official word about the Meizu M6s. Keep following this space to know the latest update about the Meizu M6s.
