Xiaomi has officially sent out invites for the launch of the big screen ‘Mi Max 3’ phablet in China. The handset will launch on July 19. Last week, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO Lei Jun had posted an image of Xiaomi Mi Max 3 retail box with a message on Weibo saying that they are discussing Mi Max 3 launch as consumers are asking to get it soon.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 full specifications have been leaked via TENAA and several other leaks. Previously there were two alleged hands-on video circulated online on YouTube and Weibo. Both videos showed Xiaomi’s Mi Max 3 phablet in full glory, and two different colors – black and gold.
As expected, the front of front Mi Max 3 will be dominated by a huge display, which is expected to be 6.9-inch in size. The display is likely to run on FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) resolution, and sport an 18:9 aspect ratio. There will not be physical navigation buttons either. Instead, users will be able to choose between on-screen navigation buttons or gestures. At the back, Xiaomi is keeping a vertically aligned dual-camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, and the Mi logo, as seen from various images and videos.

The Mi Max 3 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC, and there will be three variants to choose from. These include 32GB+3GB, 64GB+4GB, and 128GB+6GB. The handset is said to feature a metal body, and fingerprint sensor on the back.
For photography, the phablet is likely to include a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there’s likely to be an AI-backed 5-megapixel camera.

Besides the large display, another noteworthy feature of the Mi Max 3 will be the battery. Rumors hint at a massive 5,400mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 using the bundled 18W charger. Needless to say this battery will be good enough to last over a day on a single charge.
