Micromax is taking the fight to the Motorola Moto E with a barrage of entry-level smartphones running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. After the Unite 2 and Canvas Engage A091, yet another device called the Micromax Canvas A105 is available on e-commerce website priced at Rs 6,999. It was first spotted by FoneArena.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Canvas A105 flaunts a 5-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. The device also features a 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 4GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card slot, and a 1,900mAh battery.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. As mentioned above, it will compete against other entry-level Android KitKat smartphones including the Motorola Moto E, Lava Iris X1 and the Xolo Q1000 Opus. The company has yet to officially launch the device, but the fact it is listed online, means a launch shouldn’t be far off.
