Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 launched for Rs 8,500: Specifications and features

On Saturday Micromax teased a bigger phablet in its Canvas Doodle series called Canvas Doodle 3. Moments ago, the Indian smartphone vendor launched the 6-inch phablet for Rs 8,500. It will be available in stores from April 25 onwards.

The specifications are consistent with what leaked yesterday, which means the Canvas Doodle 3 sports a 6-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, which is a highly disappointing resolution for such a big display. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 512MB of RAM. Also included, is 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.

The phablet also features a 5-megapixel Auto Focus rear camera, VGA front facing camera and a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. For some reason, unlike the other Canvas Doodle phablets, the Canvas Doodle 3 doesn’t have a stylus bundled with the device.

On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes preloaded with Kingsoft Office, Opera Mini Browser, Getit and Pre-loaded Games like Marble, Rope Cut, Jelly Jumper.

Micromax is also offering a free flip cover with the device.micromax-canvas-doodle-3-flip-cover
