Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 launched in India, priced at Rs 9,340 with online retailers


Micromax has quietly launched the Canvas Elanza 2 in India a few days after it was spotted on the company’s website. The Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 A121 is now available on an online retail store for Rs 9,340. It is the successor to the Canvas Elanza A93, which was launched earlier this year for Rs 9,400 but is now available for Rs 8,250.

In terms of specifications, the Canvas Elanza 2 A121 comes with a 5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution, while its predecessor had a qHD display with 960×540 pixels resolution. The company has bumped up its processor from dual-core to quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor ticking at 1.2GHz, though the RAM remains the same at 1GB of RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front as well, while the Canvas Elanza A93 had a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA secondary camera , the Canvas Elanza 2 A121 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

On the software front, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. Other features in the phone include a 2,000mAh battery, while the predecessor housed a 1,950mAh battery.

Micromax has not yet officially announced the price of the Canvas Elanza 2 A121, however we expect an official announcement to happen soon.
