Indian smartphone vendor, Micromax, has become an unexpected participant at CES. The company has launched a dual-boot tablet called Canvas LapTab, which runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8.1.
Talking of specifications, the Canvas LapTab flaunts a 10.1-inch (1,280×800 pixels) display and is powered by 1.46GHz Intel Celeron N2805 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include 2-megapixel front camera, 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card and a 7,400mAh battery.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and as mentioned above, on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8.1. Micromax has also bundled a sleeve with a wireless keyboard, which has its own 230mAh battery promising more than 20 hours of usage overall.
There is no word on the pricing of the device, but we should have an idea when Micromax launches the tablet in India sometime next month.
