Microsoft Edge might not be the most popular browser on Android, but that doesn’t stop Microsoft from updating it with new features from time-to-time. Now the company has added four new features to the Android version, one of which is the highly anticipated the AdBlock Plus.

The new Adblock plus integration allows users to block unwanted ads and enjoy a seamless web browsing experience on their smartphone. It can be enabled from the app settings, by going into the Content Blockers section. Here you can turn on the feature, and manage Acceptable ads, by adding the list of preferred websites to the Wishlist. It should be noted that Adblock Plus is currently the most popular ad blocking tool in the world and is widely used on both smartphones and PCs.

Besides Adblock Plus, the new update also brings a new visual search feature, which allows you to look for contact info, identify landmarks, or find similar images based on a photo. The feature works similarly to Google lens and does not need to be enabled either. You can start using it immediately after downloading the app. Book reading experience has also been improved thanks to the inclusion of bookmarks and better text spacing. Lastly, the company claims to have made some performance improvements to the browser as well.

While there might not be a lot of features available on the Edge currently, it doesn’t look like Microsoft is planning on giving up on the bowser any time soon. The company on the other hand is taking its time to roll out the right updates that will improve the performance and experience on both Android and iOS devices.
