Microsoft today released its SkyDrive cloud storage and sync service for its Xbox 360 gaming console. The Xbox app focuses on photos and videos and makes all of them available for easy viewing on a bigger television display. Users with Windows Phone devices can even access their photos via SkyDrive as soon as they click them on their phones. It also shows content shared by others.
SkyDrive for Xbox 360 supports input via the controllers or remote, as well as Kinect voice and motion gestures. Microsoft will begin rolling the app out later today. Xbox 360 users can get by going to the Social Apps menu from the Apps section on their console.
Microsoft has integrated SkyDrive on Windows Phone, Windows 8 and now Xbox 360. It also has mobile apps for other smartphone operating systems.
