Microsoft launches the Office 365 in India
Microsoft today announced the general availability of the next generation of the Office 365 for enterprises, corporate accounts, SMEs and consumers in India. This new Office comes with a number of new tools and features, and is able to integrate with various devices as well as integrate documents with the cloud.
It works on multiple platforms across browsers on phones and PCs, and is able to integrate to the cloud so as to be accessed on various devices. Also, the new Office has been made social, so that organizations can share data via these social layers over Yammer and others.
Microsoft Office can be installed on up to five devices for a single user under the Office 365 licensing. It provides support for various cloud management tools as per the convenience of the organizations. So while organizations can opt for the hybrid environments, they can go for private cloud as well.
Office 365 is touch enabled, pen enabled and will work equally well using Keyboard and mouse. Moreover, the new Office for mobile works across operating system like iOS, Android and others. Also, the SharePoint now integrates with Yammer and Lync to provide a social platform to the organizations.
Microsoft has partnered with Lupin, Godrej groups, Tata Communications and many more to provide the new Microsoft Office 365. It is available directly through Microsoft or through an authorized retail outlet or Open License partners. Moreover, Microsoft has formed a syndication partnership with Airte,l which will allow users to buy it through Airtel broadband connections and pay for the software via their Airtel bill. Charges of the Office 365 depends upon the usage pattern and customers type, like for consumers the office home premium costs Rs 499 per year and for businesses the prices vary from small to large businesses, ranging from $6 per user per month to $22 per users per month.
