Microsoft might invest up to $3 billion in Dell buy out: CNBC
Microsoft might invest between $1 billion to $3 billion to help Dell to take the company private, CNBC reports. This will be an interesting move considering Dell is still one of the largest PC makers and OEM partner for Microsoft, which is getting the flak for competing with its hardware partners by launching the Surface tab running on Windows 8 without revealing its plans.
Could this be Microsoft’s way of protecting its future? Is Microsoft planning to eventually acquiring Dell? Could it lead to Microsoft becoming a hardware and software integrated company? We will hopefully get some answers to these questions and many others in the coming weeks or even earlier. Watch this space for more.
