A couple of months ago we filed a story saying that Microsoft was building an Office app for the iPad. Now our colleagues stateside at BGR Classic have confirmed this report, though with a couple of twists.

The report says that Microsoft is not only building an Office app for the iPad, but also for Android. In addition to this, the iPad app seems to be a universal app which means it will also work on the iPhone and the iPod Touch. How sweet is that?

In fact, the report concurs with the earlier report as the source has confirmed that the app looks exactly like the image published by The Daily a couple of months ago. Furthermore, it is believed that Microsoft will release the app sometime in November, which should work concurrently with the release of Office 15, for Windows and a version of it for Windows RT.
