Moto Razr is probably the most iconic phones we have seen from the house of Motorola. The highlight of course was its sleek design and that flip open body. Considering there seems to be a trend of reviving the classics with Nokia 3310, and Nokia 8110 making a come back, Motorola is apparently mulling the same strategy.

According to TechRadar, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing dropped a hint at MWC 2018 about the Razr’s comeback. “With the new technology, particularly foldable screens, I think you will see more and more innovation on our smartphone design,” he was quoted as saying. “So hopefully what you just described [the Motorola Razr brand] will be developed or realized very soon”.

In fact, Lenovo last year also hinted at the possibility of the Razr’s return to market. That said, Motorola will reportedly face a bigger design and engineering problem. The phone was famous for its ultra slim design, however the definition of a slim phone has really evolved over the years. A display that folds completely flat like that is virtually non-existent, making this incarnation of the Motorola Razr less likely.

Also, to be fair, while this could very possibly be a hint at an updated version of the Motorola Razr, the comment about foldable displays might just suggest that there may be an entirely new handset instead. There could also be the possibility that we will get both.
