The next smartphone by Motorola could very well be the Moto Z3 Play. There have been numerous reports concerning the launch of the device. According to a Phone Arena report, Motorola seems to have confirmed an event for Brazil named, “Save the Date” that is scheduled to take place on June 6.
The image of the event invite shows a girl holding a smartphone on her hand which kind of makes it obvious that it will be a smartphone launch. And looking at things in a linear manner, Motorola’s Moto G6 and Moto E5 smartphones have already been launched in Brazil. Hence, it only makes sense that the company will be introducing the Motor Z3 Play in the Latin American nation, because that is the only known device that is next in line.
Moto Z3 Play features and specifications
According to the leaks that we have seen up until now, we assume that the Moto Z3 Play will be featuring a Snapdragon 636 SoC, with 4GB RAM and the option to choose between 32GB and 64GB of storage. In addition, the device will also support a microSD card. The device will be boasting a 6-inch 18:9 “Max Vision” FHD+ (1080 x 2160) AMOLED display. Because of the tiny bezels, and the phone’s modular design, the fingerprint sensor is said to have been side-mounted.
Previous reports confirm that the Moto Z3 Play will be “one of the thinnest premium smartphones in the market,”. That is because Moto has decided to equip the phone with a 3,000 mAh battery. That of course seems less compared to the current trend, but a battery boosting mod is also expected to make an appearance. That said, the device also supports TurboPower charging.
For taking pictures, the phone is expected to come with a dual-rear camera setup, consisting of two 12-megapixel sensors. At the front, it will be having an 8-megapixel camera. Besides just a portrait mode, the camera is said to offer a range of creative features. One of them is “Cinemagraphs’, which carries a mix of still photos with animated aspects to some parts. Other creative modes, let you cutout the subject in the image and add a different background to it. Additionally, there is also a text scanning mode and a manual mode.
