Motorola Moto E priced at Rs 6,999 now available on Flipkart


Motorola’s latest smartphone offering, the Moto E, is now available on Flipkart for Rs 6,999. The company had launched the phone earlier today in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart in India, and promised that it would start retailing the phone from midnight. Flipkart has also been Motorola’s exclusive retail partner the Moto G and Moto X smartphones. The e-commerce site is also offering some launch day offers, which include discounts on covers, memory cards and free eBooks.

The Moto E gets removable back panels and Motorola is offering as many as nine colored back panels including lemon, turquoise, red and pink as well as the usual black and white. Flipkart is giving a one day rebate of 50 percent on buying these covers tonight from the site. In addition to that, the ecommerce portal is also offering a 50 percent discount on buying an 8GB Transcend memory card. On the content front, it promises to give away eBooks worth Rs 1,000 with the purchase of the smartphone. Please note that all these offers will be applicable only when you purchase the Moto E.

To give a quick recap of the specifications, the Moto E comes with a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display, a Snapdragon 200 dual-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. It also features 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1,980mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with Motorola guaranteeing that it will be upgraded to the next version.
