Motorola has teased the launch of its next smartphone at its Chicago headquarters on August 2. The company added that it will be a “big announcement” that will “change the way people use and interact with their phones” as pointed in a statement issued to The Verge. The company posted an unlisted 11-second teaser video on its YouTube channel with simply the text “august 2 2pm motorola hq chicago” on a live background. The description of the video adds that the company will introduce “a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat, and more”.
The company just announced its Moto Z3 Play earlier this month so we are not sure what the company is planning to launch at the event. The company has not issued any official statement about what to expect, but it is likely that it may launch the Moto Z3 along with the much-rumored Motorola One Power. Motorola One Power has leaked a number of times in press renders and specifications in last one month, and the timing is in line for a Moto Z refresh. The company announced its current Moto Z device, the Moto Z2 Force at the end of July last year.

As previously reported, Motorola One Power is likely to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Motorola has packed a 6.2-inch display with a full HD+ resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio. The device will pack a 3,780mAh battery while running on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The device will come with a 12-megapixel camera sensor along with a 5-megapixel sensor in dual lens setup on the back along with an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies. It is likely that the company will add a USB Type-C port along with support for Turbo charging technology.
Talking about the Moto Z3, as previously announced by Motorola, it is expected that the company will ensure support for the current MotoMods in the market but it is possible that the company may introduce more advanced Mods along with the Z3. The device may sport a similar design to what we have seen in the Moto Z3 Play according to a previously leaked promotional video. It is likely that the device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 4GB or 6GB RAM.
