Motorola has rolled out a new update for its Moto Camera app for all its Moto devices. The company has been packing the Moto Camera app in all its Moto-branded devices including the C, E, G, M, X, Z, Maxx, and Turbo lineups. According to xda developers, this new update has revamped the user interface of the camera. It also brings improved integration with Google Photos, Lens, and YouTube Live. This new update comes right after the company launched its latest smartphone in the market, the Moto Z3 Play in the United States.
The Moto Z3 Play has not launched in the Indian market and instead the company just launched the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play. This new update is rolling out through the Google Play Store and the report clarified that this update is limited to the devices that Motorola has launched in 2018. The updated software will mark photos that were captured in with Motor’s “Best Shot” and “Portrait” modes. The company now allows users to use single finger up and down zoom in or zoom out of the images.

The new update also brought “Drag to focus” to change the exposure of the image. Other improvements include improving the exit UI of the different modes in the camera software along with a combined settings interface for the back and the front camera of the devices. The changelog mentioned the usual “bug fixes and stability improvements” and added Google Lens and YouTube Live feature in the Camera software.
This means that users with 2018 Moto devices do not need to go in the Google Photos app or invoke Google Assistant and click a photo to access Google Lens. They can also directly stream video that the devices record, to YouTube without going to the YouTube app.
