MTS has today launched the Blaze 4.5 Android smartphone, which is bundled with 1,00,000MB (approximately 97.6GB) of data usage on MTS’s 3G Plus network valid for a year. A user can activate the data plan by recharging the phone with Rs 198 MTS pack. However, a user will have to recharge their phone at least once every month to access these free data units, which can be used for a year from the date of activation. The phone is priced at Rs 9,999, and is available with online retailer ThinkOfUs which is offering an additional 10 percent cash back on the phone.
The Blaze 4.5 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor ticking at 1.2GHz, and is paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB on microSD card. The phone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and auto-focus, and a VGA front-facing camera.
Wireless connectivity options in the phone include dual-SIM with CDMA network support on one SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It comes with a 1,600mAh battery that gives up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. Other features in the phone include gravity, proximity and light sensors.
The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, which is relatively an older version of the software, and comes pre-loaded with apps like MTS TV and MTS Planet.
