Though the Windows Phone platform still lags behind the likes of iOS and Android, it is slowly but surely catching up. At the ongoing event in Barcelona, Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore revealed that Facebook Messenger was one of the most requested apps by users and it will finally arrive on the platform in a ‘few weeks’.
“We’ve been working with Facebook testing out their implementation for a while,” he said. ”It’s looking good and we will have it for our customers soon.”
Belfiore also mentioned that there are more than 200,000 apps on the Windows Platform and they are growing everyday. Total number of app downloads, he said, had touched 4 billion.
