Samsung is all geared up to unveil the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagship smartphones at MWC 2018 in less than two weeks from now. Ahead of the unveiling, we come across numerous leaks and rumors talking about design, specifications and highlighting different features of the smartphones. Now, Samsung has started teasing features that we will be seeing on the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.
Samsung has released three official teasers that highlight camera features of the new smartphones. The first teaser shows a number of high adrenaline activities, and ends with a bird flying in the air, but in slow-motion. Yes, slow-motion video recording has always been on Galaxy smartphones, but with the new smartphones are about to receive an upgrade, allowing them to capture videos at higher frames per seconds. Watch the video below.
Since the Galaxy S6, Samsung has been teasing low-light performance on its smartphones, and the successors, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8 are known to offer better low-light capabilities, thanks to f/1.7 aperture lens. Now, with the Galaxy S9, Samsung is set to improve the quality even further, and it is rumored to feature an f/1.5 aperture lens, the largest on any smartphone till date.
As you can see in the above video, you have two people walking through the woods, with peaceful sounds of nature. At the end, they spot a deer, and snap a photo, showcasing the low-light capabilities of both smartphones.
The third teaser, sort of, confirms another rumor that we have been hearing for a long time – the Galaxy S9 duo to come with Apple iPhone X like 3D Animoji feature. As you can see, the above video shows a man crying, playing video games, lifting weight and cheering for his birthday cake, and his face turns into a 3D emoji.
Samsung will unveil the new smartphones on February 25 at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Both smartphones are expected to bring minor design refreshments along with under the hood upgrades with a faster chipset.
The photography department is expected to see major changes, with the Galaxy S9 likely to feature a single camera with variable aperture, and dual camera setup on the Galaxy S9+. Both smartphones are also expected to come with IRIS scanner and improved 3D facial recognition technology.
