Mysterious HP tablet pops up in the wild
For sometime we have known that HP intends to launch professional Windows 8 powered tablets after its failed salvo in the tablet market with webOS. A number of images have popped up on the web courtesy material from HP’s own commercials and today another one has been spotted by Phonearena.
It should be noted that the images that have popped up in some of HP’s own commercials, show a black region in the back which could perhaps house the 3G/4G antenna’s of the device, though there is not real concrete evidence for the same. That said, we already know that HP is not planning on making any Windows RT based tablets and it is going to stick with x86-based Intel hardware.
While there are not tech specs to speak of it is expected that the HP tablet will boast specs that tow the line of modern tablets like the iPad and feature battery life in excess of 8 hours and offer an always-on connected experience while retaining the ability to run legacy Windows applications like Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and many more. We could hear more about it when Microsoft formally launches Windows 8 on October 26.
