It looks like Apple is working on a new MacBook Pro revamp as this unannounced model was spotted on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench. According to the listing, the new “MacBookPro15,2” packs Intel Core i7-8559U Coffee Lake CPU. A report by 9to5Mac pointed out that this “CPU runs up to 29W” and has not shipped in any device at the time of writing. This means that it is likely that the Geekbench listing may have some substance to it and the company may be planning to pack a quad-core CPU with base clock frequency set at 2.7GHz.

The report also pointed out that Intel Core i7-8559U Coffee Lake is capable of turbo speed clocking up to 4.5GHz if the work demands to. It is likely that the company may be planning to launch a refreshed MacBook Pro in coming months but the company has not hinted at any scheduled launch event in coming weeks. It is likely that the company may launch this revamped version of MacBook Pro along with other update hardware including 2018 iPhone models at the hardware event in coming months.

Model identifier for this new model indicates that this is a revision of the 13-inch MacBook Pro that Apple launched last year with dual-core Intel processor. According to the report, this model scores 4448 in the single-core test and 16607 in the multi-core test on Geekbench in comparison to 4600 in single-core and 9500 in the multi-core test that the 207 13-inch MacBook Pro scored.

Apple has packed 16GB LPDDR3 RAM with this model and it is likely that similar to the previous model, users will be able to upgrade up to 32GB RAM if they need the extra RAM. Last but not the least, the benchmark listing states that this device is running macOS 10.13.6, the latest version of that Apple is currently seeding to developers.
