Nikon CoolPix S800c Android cameraphone now available for Rs 20,950

Announced in August, Nikon’s Android powered CoolPix S800c has finally landed on Indian shores for Rs 20,950. The CoolPix S800c features a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.3 aperture, 10x optical zoom, a NIKKOR lens with a 25mm to 250mm focal range and of course it runs on Android 2.3 gingerbread.

Other features of this unique camera include a 3.5-inch display; 4GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Nikon has even built companion apps for iOS and Android. Nikon even bundles a 4GB SD card in the package, which is a nice addition.

As unique it is, the S800c is in for some stiff competition in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is expected to hit India near Diwali time. The Galaxy Camera packs in a formidable feature set that includes a 4.8-inch S-LCD display with a 720p resolution, a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, the very same one as the Samsung Galaxy S III, 16-megapixel sensor with a f/2.8 aperture and 21x of optical zoom. Additionally, it even runs on the latest version of Android called Jelly Bean.
