HMD Global launched the Nokia 2 globally last week, and now the smartphone has gone up for pre-orders. The new Nokia 2 is available to pre-order in Russia, where it is available with a price tag of RUB 7,990 (roughly Rs 8,800), and will go on sale sometime in mid-November.
While HMD Global has not yet revealed the India pricing of the phone, speculations are being made that the smartphone will be priced around Rs 7,500 in India. If launched in India at the same price, the smartphone will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4A, and Moto C Plus. The Redmi 4A comes in two variants, a 16GB storage model, which is priced at Rs 5,999, and a 32GB model priced at Rs 6,999. On the other hand, the Moto C Plus is priced at Rs 6,999.

On the camera front, the Nokia 2 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, and also comes with Google Assistant onboard.
