HMD Global today launched the Nokia-branded Android smartphones in India with the lineup consisting of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. Of the three, the Nokia 3 will go on sale first starting on June 16 and has been priced at Rs 9,499. The Nokia 3 stands in the most competitive price segment for smartphones in India, and appears to be slightly overpriced given the specifications it offers.
The Nokia 3 sports a unibody design, and features a 5-inch HD display. Under its hood, runs a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For photography, the Nokia 3 sports an 8-megapixel rear and front-facing camera. The Nokia 3 is fuelled by a 2,650mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Xiaomi Redmi 4
The Redmi 4 is Xiaomi’s prized smartphone in the budget range introduced just last month. The Redmi 4 comes with a lower price tag of Rs 6,999, and its 5-inch display has full HD resolution along with 2.5D curved glass protection. The Redmi 4 has a higher 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Another notable advantage is the 4,100mAh battery on the Redmi 4. The smartphone also comes with 4G VoLTE support and a fingerprint sensor, which the Nokia 3 lacks in both cases. YU Yureka Black
YU recently made a comeback with the Yureka Black and is already doing impressive on sales. The Yureka Black is priced at Rs 8,999, and also features a 5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. With 4GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage, the smartphone offers more memory. The Yureka Black sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX 258 sensor and an 8-megpaixel front-facing camera. Coolpad Note 5 Lite
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite, priced at Rs 8,199 features a 5-inch HD scratch-resistant display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It also features a fingerprint sensor located on the back. Photography specs remain the same with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Otherwise, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite comes with a 2,500mAh battery, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a MediaTek MT6735CP quad-core processor.
Lenovo K6 Power
The Lenovo K6 Power has a few hundreds of difference with the Nokia 3, at a price of Rs 9,999. However the smartphone comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The K6 Power also boasts of a 4,000mAh battery and supports dual app feature. In the photography department, the K6 Power sports a 13-megapixel rear Sony IMX258 sensor with LED flash, and PDAF support. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 camera with wide-angle lens and beautification mode. Moto G4 Play
The Moto G4 Play was launched last September and offers subtle specifications and features for a budget smartphone. The smartphone stands out for its water-repellant nano coating that can repel accidental splashes. For power, the Moto G4 Play packs a 2,800mAh battery which is claimed to run a day. As for the remaining of its specifications, the Moto G4 Play is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
