Nokia 3 goes on sale via offline stores starting today: Price, specifications and features

The wait is finally over.

If you have been waiting to purchase the Nokia-branded Android smartphones, then you can head to a nearest smartphone outlet and buy the Nokia 3. As promised, HMD Global has made one of the first Nokia-Android smartphones available in India through offline store starting today. You can now purchase the Nokia 3 through HMD Global’s partner offline stores. In India, HMD Global has partnered with 400 exclusive distributors reaching over 80,000 retail points. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,499 and available in color choices of Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White.

The Nokia 3 was launched alongside the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphone earlier this week. While the Nokia 6 is exclusive to Amazon India, both the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are available through offline stores only. It is to be noted that as of now, only the Nokia 3 is available for purchase. The Nokia 5, priced at Rs 12,899, will be available for pre-booking through offline stores starting July 7 while the Nokia 6, priced at Rs 14,999, will be up for registration on Amazon India starting July 14.

HMD Global also launched its Nokia Care customer service for the trio of Nokia-branded Android smartphones. Under the service, Nokia owners will be eligible for device pick-up facilities in cases of repair. The pick-up facilities will soon be extended to 100 cities. Nokia Care is available in over 300 Indian cities through chat, web, and call support. ALSO READ: Nokia smartphones will soon be made in India: HMD Global

Nokia 3 specifications, features

Nokia 3 is the most affordable of the trio announced earlier this week and boasts a polycarbonate unibody design. One of the drawbacks is that it doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6737 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. It includes 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. One of the good things about the Nokia 3 is that it features separate slots for SIM cards and microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 3 is equipped with 8-megapixel camera both in the front and rear. On the software front, it runs Android Nougat out-of-the-box. It is further fuelled by a 2,650mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. ALSO READ: Nokia 3: 6 alternative smartphones you can buy in India right now
