Launched in India last month, the Nokia 8 is the first flagship from HMD Global in India priced at Rs 36,999. The smartphone is now available to purchase exclusively via Amazon India and other major offline retail stores including Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika, and BigC to name a few. The company is betting big on its camera with a twin 13-megapixel dual sensor setup at the back. It also has a “bothie” mode, which uses both front and rear cameras allowing you to share “both sides of the story.”
Nokia 8 comes bundled with various introductory offers. If you are a Reliance Jio customer, you can get up to 100GB additional 4G data on the purchase of Nokia 8. An additional 10GB Jio 4G data with every recharge of Rs 309 or above, however, the offer is valid only until August 31, 2018. Apart from that, customers will also have access to special Nokia Mobile Care Concierge Service in 50 cities across India. Amazon India is also offering No cost EMIs starting Rs 1,759. On Amazon India, you can buy the phone in exchange for your old phone as well. The e-commerce site is offering an exchange value of up to Rs 9,500. Nokia 8 specifications and features
The Nokia 8 flaunts a 5.3-inch IPS 2K resolution display. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel snapper with PDAF support, f/2.0 aperture. Another highlight of the smartphone is the set of three microphones for audio recording. It uses Nokia’s OZO Audio technology to capture audio with 360-degree spatial surround sound. The smartphone is backed by a 3,090mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The smartphone runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promise for Android Oreo update in the coming months.
