Ever since HMD Global revived Nokia with the launch Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones earlier this year, all eyes have been hooked upon the upcoming Nokia flagship smartphone. The premium Nokia smartphone is said to take on the likes of Apple, Samsung, Google and other high-end smartphones. Until now, the smartphone has shown itself in various leaks and benchmark test as the Nokia 9. However, the latest word is the smartphone will be called the Nokia 8 and will be launched at the end of July.
As per WinFuture.de report citing Scandinavian retailers, the Nokia 8 is expected to go official on July 31 and its price has been revealed as well. The Nokia 8, according to the retailers will be priced at 589 Euros (approximately Rs 44,000). The smartphone developed by HMD Global with the model number TA- 1004 has bee spotted previously in Geekbench leaks. Thus, it is likely that the high-end Nokia Android smartphone will be called the Nokia 8 indeed.
The Nokia 8 smartphone has said to sport a 5.7-inch 2K display. Earlier reports suggest the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset, clocked at 2.45Ghz. It is said to be clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone can come in steel, blue, gold, and copper color options. It will run on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out-of-the-box. For photography, the Nokia 8 is said to be equipped with the dual rear camera setup featuring a pair of 13-megapixel lenses along with dual LED flash. While other details remain patchy, we have come to know from leaks in past that the smartphone will be offer support for Quick Charge 3.0 and will be bundled with a USB Type-C fast charger and a pair of earbuds for the 3.5mm audio jack.
