Nokia Lumia 620 now available for pre-order online for Rs 15,199

The Nokia Lumia 620 is now available for pre-order with online retailers in the country for Rs 15,199. According to the listing on FlipKart the device will be available in the second week of March, but consumers can pay upfront to get their hands on the device the moment it becomes available.

The Lumia 620 features a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3.8-inch LCD display with a WVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, a 1,300-mAh battery, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card that allows up to 64GB of memory. It of course runs on Windows Phone 8 and will perhaps become the cheapest device running on the OS.

Previously, Nokia had announced back in January that the Lumia 620 arrive in India by February, but it appears the launch was delayed. Thankfully, its finally happening in March, but last week at MWC Nokia showcased some new Lumia smartphones like the Lumia 520 and the Lumia 720 that further push down the price of Windows Phone 8 devices. The Lumia 520 in particular will cost lesser than the Lumia 620, but it yet to be announced in the country. For Europe though it will cost $183.

The big deal about buying a Nokia Lumia device is the software stack that Nokia provides. These apps are not available on any other Windows Phone 8 smartphone save for few apps like Nokia Maps, which is now baked into the OS.
