Nokia phone with QWERTY keyboard spotted; dual SIM device, gets FCC approval

Could this be the 4G version of Nokia 3310?

Is QWERTY on its way back? As per latest media reports, Nokia has been spotted working on a phone with a physical keyboard.

Spotted by Nokia Power User, the purported phone has recently been approved by FCC. Documented as TA-1047, the details on the alleged handset are sparse, but it will apparently be dual-SIM, and have dimensions of 133×68 mm, making it much tinier than the budget-friendly Nokia 2 smartphone.

While the Nokia 9 is still running the rumor mills, this device is believed to be some other phone, and its details of global availability are uncertain. Nokia Power User revealed that an uncredited leaker had information the TA-1047 would be a smaller smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard; more akin to an old-school BlackBerry than an modern Nokia smartphone.

Considering this is the first ever rumor about this purported Nokia device, it wouldn’t be wise to bet a farm on it. However, if the report is anything to go by, the Nokia smartphone will feature a 3.3-inch, 480×480 resolution display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 230, and be running an operating system referred to as “Kai OS.”

There is another report from GizChina about the phone which rumor that this could be the long-awaited 4G model of the 2017 Nokia 3310, and highlights the TA-1047’s Wi-Fi and 4G connections as being perfect for an upgraded Nokia 3310.
