Two upcoming Nokia smartphones have recently been spotted getting the FCC approval. The phones carry codes of TA-1057 and TA-1063, and based on the certification, are likely to support screens with 18:9 aspect ratio. In a leak that surfaced weeks before, the two phones were also spotted getting the Bluetooth certification, along with three other variants that HMD Global might have plans to launch soon.
The FCC certification reveals that both upcoming smartphones will feature an 18:9 aspect ratio display, Mysmartprice reports. However, it does not confirm what resolutions will be supported, or which display types will be used. The report also confirms that both devices will feature a 2,900mAh battery. It further reveals that the TA-1057 will feature a single SIM, while the TA-1063 is said to support dual-SIMs. Both smartphones also support NFC.
It’s hard to tell what price category these Nokia smartphones will fall under. But based on the battery information, the smartphones could fall in the mid-range segment. Reports further claim that the smartphones might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 series chipsets. As for the screen, IPS LCDs are to be expected, but they could also support an OLED like the one featured on the Nokia 8 Sirocco. However, these are just speculations, and nothing can be confirmed for sure.
