Nokia to launch an Asha phone with a keypad on April 24

Nokia is set to launch a new device on the morning of April 24 at 7 AM GMT (12:30pm IST), according to a post on Nokia Conversations blog. There’s no information available on the device itself, except a teaser image that accompanies the blog post.

The photo shows the corners of a device that will follow the design language seen on the Lumias, with bright colors and rounded edges. But what surprises us the most though is that device seems to feature a physical keypad instead of the customary touch display.

Not much else can be said from looking at the teaser image and we’ll have to wait till Wednesday morning to see what Nokia has up its sleeves. In addition to the launch, the blog post also mentions that the Finnish company will also hold a Q&A session with a special guest and Neil Broadley, a member of the company’s Mobile Phone team, suggesting this would be a feature phone launch rather than a new smartphone.
