HMD Global, the company responsible for bringing back Nokia-branded smartphones in the market, may be gearing to launch the global variant of the Nokia X6. The company initially launched the Nokia X6 last month in the Chinese market. It held another launch event last month in Moscow to launch the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, and the Nokia 2.1, the updated 2018 versions of the Nokia 5, Nokia 3, and Nokia 2. Moving back to Nokia X6, the device with model number TA-1103 received National Communications Commission (NCC) certification while the company launched model TA-1099 in the Chinese market.
According to DealnTech, NCC certification hints that HMD Global may be planning to launch the global variant of the Nokia X6 in Taiwan. NCC is a Taiwanese agency, similar to TENNA in China, to certify all the electronic devices that are set to launch in the country. The report goes on to add that this comes right after the model number was spotted on the website of a Bluetooth certification agency.
