Nokia X’s price dropped by Rs 900, now retails at Rs 7,729

Nokia X, the Finnish manufacturer’s first phone running on an OS based on Android, has seen its first price cut. Launched at Rs 8,599 more than a month ago, the phone is now listed at Rs 7,729 on Nokia India’s website. The price drop of close to Rs 900, brings it under the Rs 8,000 mark, and puts it into direct competition with entry-level Android phones like the Sony Xperia E1 and Karbonn A21+.

To recapitulate, the X runs on Nokia X Software, which is a forked version of Android. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB. On the photography front, it uses a 3-megapixel camera on the rear, and doesn’t come with a front camera.
