Notion Ink Adam II Android tablet launched in India for Rs 16,499

We have been hearing quite a lot about Indian company Notion Ink planning on releasing its Adam II Android tablet. Today, the company finally launched the device in India. The device is available in two variants— the Wi-Fi variant for Rs 16,499 and the 3G variant for Rs 18,999.

Talking of specifications, the Adam II flaunts a 10.1-inch IPS (1280×800 pixels) display with Asahi scratch resistant glass protection. Inspired by a book, the spine of the tablet can be customized to show notifications and contextual data.

It is powered by a dual-core Cortex A9 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with quad-core Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Other features include 3.15-megapixel rear camera, front camera, 8GB internal storage that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card, dual front facing speakers and a 6,000mAh battery.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and on the software front, the tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

For those needing a reminder, Notion Ink rose to fame with the original Adam tablet, which also had the ‘Eden’ UI running on top of Android Gingerbread.
