OnePlus has just rolled out its OxygenOS 5.0.3 update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3 users. The company has rolled out the much anticipated Face Unlock feature for both the devices with this update, something that OnePlus promised at the launch of OnePlus 5T late last year. OnePlus has also updated the Android security patch level to May 2018 with this new update. Other updates include updates to the OnePlus launcher including refined Shelf UI design, new design for app shortcuts and support for more options when long pressing an icon.
The company has also updated the Gallery app for both the OnePlus 3 and 3T with this update by adding a “Recently Deleted” collection where users can restore any recently deleted photos or videos. The app now also comes with a maps view of all the photos with their location if the location was turned on while shooting those images. This update also brings ‘Large files’ category to the built-in Files app.

Last but not the least, OnePlus has updated its Weather app with a new widget for the launcher, improved positioning accuracy, and adjusted refresh interval for weather information updates. This update is being rolled out in an incremental manner to ensure that there are no problems in the final version.
This means that the update will first roll out to a small set of users and if there are no problems with the update then it will roll out to a larger number of users. This means that it is likely that the update may not appear immediately on your OnePlus 3 or 3T device. This new update comes days after OnePlus released OxygenOS 5.1.5 for its latest flagship in the market, the OnePlus 6.
