OnePlus has been slowly teasing the launch of its upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 5T. However, the smartphone has been leaked quite extensively revealing almost all its possible specifications and features. The launch seems even more closer now as OnePlus’ latest tweet reveals the location for the event which happens to be New York City this time. The OnePlus 5 was launched earlier this June in China.
OnePlus’ tweet about the event location reads, “Guess which city we’re going to party in for the #OnePlus5T launch!” The tweet is accompanied with an image which is found to be the famous intersection at West 34th Street and Broadway located in Manhattan, New York City. The next bit of information awaited is the launch date, which is expected to be anytime soon. A previous tweet by OnePlus showed the OnePlus 5 stacked on top of the OnePlus 5T. With no trace of the OnePlus 5T seen, it’s confirmed that the size and dimensions will be the same as the OnePlus 5.

Until the official launch, the OnePlus 5T is speculated according to leaks and rumors. The OnePlus 5T appears to have a similar situation like the OnePlus 5 did. Leaked images of the OnePlus 5T reveal a similar design like the recently launched Oppo R11s. It is worth noting that OnePlus and Oppo are under the same parent company, BKK Electronics. If rumors are to be believed then the OnePlus 5T will feature an edge-to-edge display with thin bezels on each side. The design change would be big as OnePlus would be ditching the home button, and replacing it with a rear fingerprint sensor. According to past rumors, the OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC under its hood. Like the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T is also said to launch with the same storage variants of 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage.
