OnePlus is rumored to launch its next flagship smartphone the OnePlus 5T soon. Earlier, media invites for a supposed OnePlus 5T launch on November 5 surfaced online but the company refuted saying that it’s fake. However, a launch still seems imminent with leaks of the OnePlus 5T doing rounds on the rumor mills.
The OnePlus 5T’s alleged design has leaked again on Weibo. Past renders of the OnePlus 5T revealed a Galaxy S8-like look with the edge-to-edge display and curved edges. In the latest leaked render, the OnePlus 5T retains the similar look with almost no bezels on the sides, and very thin top and bottom bezels. There is no presence of a Home button yet again, utilizing a large part of the front panel for the display. The OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch edge-to-edge display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
The alert slider and volume rocker is placed on the left side, with the power key on the right. The rear chassis looks quite like the OnePlus 5 itself with the dual-camera setup placed on the top-left corner. One difference is the addition of the square fingerprint sensor placed at the centre. This is expected considering the company is likely to ditch the Home button to make room for the larger screen. We can see the OnePlus logo placed below the fingerprint sensor, and the antenna lines at the top and bottom. DON’T MISS: OnePlus 5 Long Term Review: Still feeling the power
If rumors are anything to go by, we could be seeing the OnePlus 5T soon. The OnePlus 5 is no longer available for purchase in select markets further adding to the speculations, although it remains on sale in India due to it being peak festival season. However, some reports even suggest a OnePlus 6 instead of OnePlus 5T. With nothing officially confirmed as of now, it’s best to keep early judgement aside and wait for concrete information.
