All eyes are set on OnePlus today, as the company is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 6 flagship at a global event in London. With the formal launch, the company will put to rest all leaks and rumors surrounding the device. While OnePlus 6 leaks so far have shown the device from all possible angle and given away important information including price and specifications, a new leak (presumably the last) sheds light on accessories launching with the smartphone.
The new leak courtesy of a Twitter user gives away details of the accessories, their pricing for different markets and the actual product pictures. It seems OnePlus is planning to introduce five different case along with a flip cover and tempered glass screen protector for the OnePlus 6. The listing shows OnePlus 6 coming with optional protective case in sandstone or Silicone Red and Bumper Case in Karbon, Ebony Wood and Nylon Black. The Flip Cover will be offered in Black color while the tempered glass is also listed in black.
In terms of pricing, the Sandstone protective case and tempered glass screen protector are expected to retail for Rs 990. The Silicone Protective Case and the Black Flip Cover are listed for Rs 1,290. The Bumper Case in Nylon Black could be priced at Rs 1,490 while the Karbon and Ebony Wood variants would be priced at Rs 1,990. The listing notes that these are exact prices for a region and not converted based on exchange rates.
The pricing for these accessories seem to be comparable with that of previous OnePlus smartphones. We already know that OnePlus 6 will be revealed for the Indian market at an event in Mumbai on May 17. The launch is scheduled for 3PM tomorrow and it will go on sale for Amazon Prime members as early preview on May 21.
OnePlus has also confirmed that its flagship will be powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It will borrow design elements from Oppo R15 and feature a 6.28-inch notched display. The smartphone is said to sport a vertically stacked dual rear camera system similar to that of Galaxy S9+. The leaks so far have not revealed any major changes in the camera department but OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has shared images shot with the smartphone.
