Oplus XonPhone5 Android KitKat smartphone launched in India for Rs 7,999

Taiwanese company Oplus launched its first device in India, the XonPad7, earlier this year. Now, the company is back with a smartphone called the XonPhone5, which is essentially a 5-inch Android KitKat smartphone. Priced at Rs 7,999, the smartphone is exclusively available on Snapdeal.

As far as specifications are concerned, the XonPhone5 flaunts a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display with a pixel density of 320ppi, and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6582 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.42 KitKat.

The Oplus XonPhone5 will be up against the likes of Xolo Q1011, which too is an Android KitKat smartphone. The latter features similar specifications, but has less internal storage. The Oplus is however lighter on your pockets.
