Full view displays are the new trend. After Honor recently joined the fad with the Honor 9i, Oppo is apparently ready to hop on board with the upcoming Oppo F5. As per the media invites, Oppo will be holding an event in Philippines on October 26 to launch the new Oppo F5. The company also shared an official invite for the event on its Philippines Facebook page.

The invite reads a big F5, followed by the tagline, ‘Capture the real you’, with the date of launch mentioned below it. The tagline gives a pretty clear idea that the smartphone will be selfie-camera centric. Besides, in the past, we have also come across a bunch of leaks that hinted at the smartphone sporting a dual-camera setup on the front. There was also a recent leak where the launch posters for the device surfaced in Philippines, with the same ‘Capture the real you’ tagline. It revealed the smartphone in black and red color variants, and showed off a single camera setup and a fingerprint sensor at the rear.

Just three days ago, a video was shared online showing the purported Oppo F5′s front and back panel. In the video, the supposed Oppo F5 looked very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, featuring a tall display with almost no bezels on the sides. The top and bottom bezels are comparatively thin too with the dual front cameras visible on top. There is no home button up front, which is something new for an Oppo smartphone. At the rear, the camera lens is placed on the top-left corner with a circular fingerprint sensor at the center. ALSO READ: Oppo F3 Review: The one for your selfies and groupfies
