Oppo Find 7, which was launched in China last month, will be launched in India in mid-2014. The company today revealed its expansion plans, which will see it launching six new devices by the end of this year, chief among which will be the Find 7.
To recap on the Find 7’s specifications, it flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with a pixel density of a staggering 534ppi. It is built using a technology called Super Screen 2.0, which allows the company to cram so many pixels, and also boasts Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Oppo also says that the device can be operated by wet hands.
As far as power is concerned, there is plenty at hand with a Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Also included, is a 3,000mAh battery and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the photography front, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 CMOS chip and F/2.0 lens. It can record videos at 4K resolutions and also includes a feature called Super Zoom, which essentially clicks 10 photos and merges them into a single 50-megapixel image. The rear camera is supplemented by a 5-megapixel camera at the front. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean based ColorOS 1.2.
There is currently no word on the exact launch date or the pricing for that matter. But in China the Find 7 will go on sale sometime in May or June and will retail at 3,498 CNY.
Oppo launched its Indian operations in January this year and roped in Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor as its brand ambassadors. The Chinese company’s portfolio in India currently includes the Oppo N1, Oppo R1, Oppo Find 5, and the Oppo Neo.
