We’ve been hearing a fair bit of chatter around the Oppo Find X, which is scheduled to launch on June 19 at an event in Paris. And while we already had an idea that the phone will be coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the latest teaser by the company posted on Weibo confirms this. Apart from this, the phone will also come with up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, depending on variants.
The teaser was posted on the company’s official Weibo account, and based on the specifications, could be quite similar to the recently launched OnePlus 6. OnePlus is of course a subsidiary of Oppo, and there is a fair amount of collaboration between the two companies when it comes to design and production.
This could be one of the most premium Oppo devices yet, and signal’s the company’s intent to change its image from a producer of affordable and mid-range smartphones to premium. Additionally, it’s likely to come to India, after the company dropped hints on its India Twitter account. While we don’t know for sure about pricing yet, it could come in at around Rs 45,000 when it launches in India.

Further speculation suggests that the phone could come with 5X optical zoom, as well as Oppo’s futuristic Super VOOC fast charging standard. The new standard is an upgrade over its existing VOOC standard, and uses algorithms and analysis to ensure maximum electric current while maintaining safe thermal and power levels. The standard is claimed to be able to fully charge a 2,500mAh battery in 15 minutes, thus cutting in half the amount of time it takes to charge a smartphone with the fastest current standards. We’ll find out more when the Oppo Find X is launched on June 19, so stay tuned.
