Last week, Asus launched the Zenfone 2 Deluxe with a unique diamond cut back panel in India. Today Oppo has launched a smartphone with a unique diamond finished back panel, called the Mirror 5. The smartphone is priced at Rs 15,990.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Mirror 5 sports a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera up front, IR Blaster, and a 2,420mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support (no LTE), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Color OS 2.1.
With so much focus on the design of Mirror 5, Oppo seems to have lost some focus when it comes to the specifications. It is a disappointing set of specifications when you consider the price tag, and especially the competition. The likes of the Xiaomi Mi 4i, and the Asus Zenfone 2 among others boast much better set of specifications, and are more affordable as well.
