Oppo has officially announced the R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition smartphones in China. It was rumored that the company will launch the new smartphones on March 31, however, it looks like an early launch today. The Oppo R115 is priced at RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 30,650), and is available in three color choices of Snow White, Hot Red, and Star Purple. The Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition, on the other hand, costs RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 33,700). The high-end model is available only in Hot Red color.
Oppo R15 had been subject to a trove of leaks and revelations in the past with most reports indicating the display technology as one of its highlights. In line with those, the Oppo R15 boasts a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The R15 Dream Mirror Edition adds to the aesthetics with its ceramic body. Interestingly, the familiar Apple iPhone X-like notch is also present on the new Oppo lineup. Both smartphones come with support for dual-SIM, storage expansion, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensors.

The Oppo R15 is equipped with a 6.28-inch OLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ (2280×1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with 6GB of RAM. There is also 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
For optics, there’s a dual-camera module at the back with a combination of 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor, with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, EIS, and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there’s a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera comes with support for Portrait Mode and AI smart beauty for the front camera.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3,450mAh battery. On the software front, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5.0 layered above. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, dual-SIM, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Both the R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition have similar specifications with the exception of a few. The Dream Mirror Edition differs in terms of its ceramic body. It flaunts the same display as the Oppo R15, but is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz
The Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition also comes with a dual-camera setup at the back, but it combines a 16-megapixel sensor and 20-megapixel sensor. Up front, there’s a 20-megapixel camera.
It is fueled by a 3,400mAh battery. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 layered above. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, and dual-SIM support.
