Oppo claims to have sold over 4 lakh units of Realme 1 in just 40 days

All the units of Realme 1 were sold out in just two minutes during first flash sale on Amazon, as per company.

Realme 1, the first smartphone from Oppo’s e-commerce sub-brand Realme, has received an overwhelming response online as the company claims to have sold over 4 lakh units in just 40 days. Moreover, the company also adds that the Realme 1 has consistently topped Amazon India’s bestseller rankings in the past 2 months and featured as the highest rated smartphone with a 4.4 rating.

“The sales figures of Realme 1 resonate with the brand’s vision of addressing the real issues present in the smartphone market and provide ultimate user experience. We are glad our customers have been supportive of our products and have been great endorsers for the brand. Being a new entrant in the smartphone market, these results encourage us to deliver a wider range of Realme products in the future,” said Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer of Realme.

Also after the first sale of Realme 1 on Amazon India, the company had announced that all the units were sold out in just two minutes.

The Realme 1 is being manufactured by Oppo at company’s Noida unit. For the after sales service, Realme customers will have access to over 500 Oppo service centers across India with guaranteed 90% of repair cases resolved within an hour, as per company claims.

Oppo Realme 1 Specifications

The Realme 1 features a 6-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It features thin-bezel design similar to Oppo F7 and is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. The smartphone will be initially available with 3GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB or 128GB internal storage. The company plans to add a variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at a later stage.

The Realme 1 comes with 13-megapixel main camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter at the front with bokeh mode. The camera UI comes with AI features which the company claims can detect 296 facial points and is introducing AI stickers accessible with front as well as rear camera.

Oppo’s Realme 1 runs ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. The smartphone lacks fingerprint sensor but supports face unlock.
