Panasonic has launched its second smartphone in the Eluga range called the Eluga A. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,490 and will be available from August 15 onwards. The company launched its first smartphone in the range called the Eluga U last month, priced at Rs 18,990.

The Eluga A is a dual-SIM smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor. It sports a 5-inch IPS FWGA (480×854 pixels) display, 1GB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It comes with 4GB internal storage and has a microSD slot that supports cards up to 32GB capacity.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. The phone has Panasonic’s Fit Home UI and has a feature called ‘Kwik Lock’, where the user can double tap the home screen to lock the screen. Eluga A also supports Indian languages allowing users to use their phone and navigate through it in their local language.

At this price point, the Panasonic Eluga A will be up against the likes of the Karbonn Titanium S7, Xolo Q1011, and Micromax Canvas 2.2.
