Panasonic P81 specifications leaked ahead of launch, could be priced at Rs 18,990


Panasonic has been sending out teaser posters for the P81, which have been hinting at the features and also mentions that it will be launched this month. NDTVGadgets has now leaked the specifications of the device ahead of the launch, and also claims that the forthcoming device will be priced at Rs 18,990.

The P81 will flaunt a 5.5-inch 720p display and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6592 true octa chipset clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included will be 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone will also feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2,500mAh battery and on the software front, it will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under the company’s Play Life UI. Panasonic will also offer software features like Multi Play, which let users run multiple apps side-by-side and the Smart Ringer, which is said to make it easy to answer calls with one hand.

The P81 will be given a black leatherette finish, which is consistent with Panasonic’s latest teaser poster. As mentioned above, it will be priced at Rs 18,990 and Panasonic is also said to be bundling RS 11,900 worth of freebies that include Evernote, Hungama, and Readwhere amongst others.
