Pantel launches 8-inch Android tablet with voice calling feature for Rs 8,299

Pantel today launched yet another Android tablet, the WS802C-2G, that features an 8-inch capacitive display and has a SIM card slot to make calls. Other features include a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.It runs on Android ICS 4.0.3.

Like most Pantel tablets, it too has a USB host for connecting 3G dongles, a microSD card slot that can accommodate cards up to 32GB and a 5,000 mAh battery.  Pantel has tied up with BSNL and buyers will get a BSNL connection with 4GB of data that is valid for two months.The WS802C-2G is priced at Rs 8,299. Pantel is also offering a keyboard accessory that also has stereo speakers for Rs 1,499.

This tablet would compete with the Micromax Funbook Talk, which was launched recently for Rs 7,249. The Micromax tablet too offers voice calling feature and has a 7-inch display, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage and a 2,800 mAh battery. Purely from a specifications point of view, the Pantel WS802C-2G offers better features than the Micromax Funbook Talk.
